Support Staff Application Guidelines
Internal Applicants: support staff working in our district (with or without seniority), either (1) send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org expressing your interest and stating the posting number, OR (2) complete and submit the Application For Support Staff Posting and Bumping for SD53 Employees (this form is available at each worksite, at the school board office, on First Class/All Staff/CUPE Info Area, or CLICK HERE).
External Applicants: submit a cover letter (if applicable, include the job posting number), resume, support staff application form (see side menu), copies of certificates and transcripts (per job description), and three supervisory references. Supervisory references must have supervised your work and, if you have been employed in the education system, include a reference from the human resources department of that employer. Reference checks will be initiated before any offer of employment and will usually occur during the screening process prior to the interview stage.
Those applying for bus driver, trades or maintenance positions, provide a copy of your driver's licence and abstract.
A cleared criminal record check is requested on hire. Do not include a criminal record check with your application package.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure their application is received at the school board office by the closing date.
The interest of all applicants is appreciated; however, acknowledgements will only be made to those selected for an interview.
